I live in Port Elizabeth, South Africa with my beautiful family. My baby dady - Taz, my 5 year old Ezra Kai, my 2.5 year old Zion Cruz and my newest little man Boaz Finn who is (almost) 5 months old.

I am passionate about family and enjoying each moment – no matter how crazy and chaotic it sometimes can be – as it comes.

 

Life is hectic as it is, throw in being a parent and it becomes a roller coaster ride of emotions. Throw in beautiful people posting pictures of their perfect family on Instagram and you can easily feel like you aren’t quite cutting it as a mom. You know the ones – with their perfect hair and makeup, there children that should be on the cover of some magazine, ofcourseee there kids only eat organic, homemade food, they are always doing cute little crafts and never, ever will their kids be seen watching something as evil as peppa pig on TV. Or at least that is how it is perceived by looking at her Instagram feed – which we are so quick to forget it, is just a highlight reel. What we don’t see is, how rare it is for that mom to get an opportunity to put on makeup and do her hair, or how that one perfect meal she decided to Instagram ended up being traded for a hotdog because her child was having a tantrum about NOTTTT liking blueberries that day.

 

We live in a world where it is so easy to compare ourselves with each other, but as moms we should be finding peace and comfort knowing that we not the only ones in the world going through the hectic seasons, that our tantrum throwing kids are normal, that the fact that sometimes you just over being a mom- doesn’t make you a bad parent – it just makes you NORMAL!

So I would love it if you would join me and my family on this journey called life – through the crazy, hectic how am I going to get through this moments and the amazing, wonderful is my life a fairy tale moments.
